FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Answers to common questions about surveys, coverage, programmes, and compliance for suspended ceilings, dry lining, and partition walls.
Do you offer free site surveys?
Yes. We survey projects across the North East and Yorkshire at no charge and provide fixed-price quotations with clear scope boundaries for suspended ceilings, dry lining, and partition walls.
Which areas do you cover?
We are based in Teesside and regularly work in Middlesbrough, Stockton, Darlington, Durham, Newcastle, Sunderland, North Yorkshire, and Leeds. Contact us if you are slightly outside these areas — we may still be able to help.
Can you work in occupied buildings?
Absolutely. We plan phased works, out-of-hours shifts, and protection to occupied areas — common on office refurbishments, healthcare schemes, and retail fit-outs.
Are you insured and accredited?
We carry full employer and public liability insurance and work to CHAS-aligned safe systems of work. Fire stopping and compliance documentation is provided for handover where required.
How long does a suspended ceiling installation take?
Programme depends on area size, ceiling type, and whether strip-out is required. A typical open-plan office floor can often be ceilinged within one to two weeks after first fix M&E is ready. We confirm timelines on survey.
Do you handle asbestos ceilings?
We do not remediate asbestos ourselves, but we coordinate with licensed removal contractors and install new ceilings once clearance certificates are issued.
Can you provide fire-rated partitions?
Yes. We install FD30 and FD60 metal stud partition systems to tested details, including fire stopping at penetrations and documentation for building control.
What information do you need for a quote?
Drawings are ideal, but photos, floor areas, and a brief description are enough to arrange a survey. We will confirm ceiling void heights, substrate types, and access on site.
