York commercial interiors often sit inside or beside sensitive fabric: Georgian frontages, tight stair cores and neighbours who notice dust and noise. Ceiling programmes need more than a standard shop-fit playbook.
Protection first
We plan sheeted routes, dust control and phased strip-out so trading floors and professional offices stay usable. Perimeter detailing against uneven walls is where specialist ceiling work shows.
System choices that respect the building
- MF plasterboard for irregular shapes and feature bulkheads
- Mineral fibre grids where services need frequent access
- Acoustic upgrades that do not demand deep voids the building cannot give
Coordinate partitions early
Where cellular offices are part of the brief, we install partition walls and ceilings under one supervisor so wall heads and fire stopping land cleanly.
